I ordered 5 DVDs from Amazon. They all had 24 hour or 2-3 day availability. I specified for sure that all items be sent in one shipment as soon as they all came available.

But they sent them out in five separate shipments, a day apart from each other! My delivery man must have been pretty ticked-off/confused/amused having to make five trips to my house within a week. I told Amazon not to be so stupid, but they haven't responded. I don't always understand their shipping department.

I made an order with my $150 GC from MCI for 7 dvds. I also specified all at once, but they shipped 4 of them in 2 seperate shipments, and then one of the others was backordered so they waited about a week and then shipped the final 3 disks in seperate orders (two of which I got confirmation of on the same day.)

sometimes they ship from different warehouses, so that is why you get multiple shipments, but 5 for 5 is just silly.

Did you get charged extra with them shipping the way they did? If not, then it is their loss and your gain. It happens all the time. I guess the only bad thing is that we all pay for it in the end with higher prices to cover shipping costs.

What's wrong with holding the order until the release date? You know that is amazon policy. If you want someone that ships early try sam goody or buy.

Don't worry about it. The did the same thing with an order of books I had placed. I emailed them and expressed concern that I would be charged more for shipping. They responded and informed me that there is no extra charge for shipping. It's because some things ship from different warehouses.
