Look Out. I ordered something right after Christmas with their 25% off promotion and got an e-mail saying they are having trouble with their suppliers and that my order was placed on urgent status. I bet they are having trouble with their suppliers, THEY'RE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS! I hope they didn't charge my CC...

No wonder they extended their sale...to quicly get rid of much of the stuff as possible?

Btw, didn't mvp.com just take over planetoutdoors.com's operations?

Per the Chicago Tribune, January 8, 2001:

“Another Wave of cuts at MVP.com claims 36 workers

Online sporting-goods retailer MVP.com has dismissed 36 people, or about half of its employees, in the second round of cuts sine mid-December, but said it is still taking orders for sports and outdoors equipment. The Chicago-based firm last month closed two offices and fired 80 people. MVP was announced 13 months ago with backing from three sports superstars – Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and John Elway – Sportsline.com Inc. and leading California venture capitalists. Sportsline in October said it would write off its $100 million investment in the firm." - Tribune staff and wire reports

MVP.COM has to be the worst online store I ever ordered from. They deserve their fate.
