Hey everyone, sorry if this has been brought up before but I was wondering if I could get two small questions answered quickly without anyone complaining.
Ok, say I recieved an amazon GC for $20 and it expires on the 20th of January 2000. I assume that if I don't claim it by then it will expire - right? But what if : (1) I claim it into my GC balance in the "Your Account" section of amazon, will it still expire and will my GC balance go down by $20? What happens if my balance is less than $20 at the time of expiry? (2) What if I pre-ordered a dvd but it doesn't come out until after the GC is set to expire? Will this be a problem? What if later I choose to cancel this order - will my $20 be reissued to the GC balance or disappear? Thanks in advance if anyone can help http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif |
1) Yes, the GC balance goes down by $20. If your GC balance is $15 (of the $20) then the $15 goes away. Luckily, you "use up" the soonest to expire coupons first.
2)Once you order, you're set. Don't worry about expiration. However, if you cancel the order AFTER expiration date, you don't get the GC back. If you cancel BEFORE expiration date, you do. Actually, this all makes strange sense. Amazon handles this fairly well. |
