Just received a DVD I purchased from moviegallery.com
The seal on the top of the DVD case was broken, and there were fingerprints on the DVD... and some minor scratches. I don't have the time right now to watch the movie to see if there's anything wrong with the DVD. The returns procedure form states that I would have to pay the return shipment charge.
I'm undecided whether I should exchange this for a new DVD, and I don't even know if they have a new one or not, since I had to wait 4 weeks before they managed to get this in stock (Peeping Tom: Criterion).

Any suggestions?

Call them up, explain the problem, and see if they'll pay the shipping back.

I used to recive many "used" DVD from reel, becayse they had that silly policy where if you didnt like the film you just viewed, you can return it no problem policy. So I kept getting used DVD when they claimed new. Awhile back I gotten some from buy.com, I think it was that 50 off 5000 fiasco where many people muts have returned the item, and buy just refurbished it.
