Is your local Wal-Mart just like in their family friendly TV ads? My local Wal-Mart sure is not!!In their ads, they show rows upon rows of DVD(I 've never VHS in the TV ads!!) and how they have the up to date dvd selection, it's a good place to buy them there etc!!I often wondered why my local wal-mart does not even look the TV ads?
Is this misleading the consumers? I also know that if I go to the Fairfield Wal-Mart I will encounter the same thing!!
Either that or the people who do DVD,videos(they have more videos than DVD at mine!!I always thought it would be the other round with dvd sales picking up on movies and players!!)are very lazy and do not care about their customers!! Sometimes I wish I lived in Fairfield because the mall has Suncoast,Barnes and noble(for my books, cannot get them in vacaville!!Crown books sucks!!)Best Buy and Circuit City all nearby each other!!Too bad my city's stores for DVD movies sucks!!!
So is your local Wal-Mart like the TV ads or is that ad misleading to consumers who might decide to go shop there one day and find out it's not?Like my local Wal-Marts? http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/frown.gif

Just about every Wal Mart is a pit. Their DVD sections are crap, too.

I've never counted, but I'd estimate that my local Wal-Marts carry between 200 and 400 titles at any one time.

Yeah, I'd say they're misleading! I've never ever seen a large anthropomorphized smiley face bouncing down the aisles rolling back the prices.

JoeC...note to the humor impaired: this is just a joke!

1) my walmart is a dirty, stinky pit of human flotsam drowning in a cesspool of stink, dung, and filth.

2)it has one row of dvd's, completely devoid of stock, all the time. No one bothers to put product on the shelf. None of the prices are correct, or there is no marked price for half of the stuff. And this walmart is within a mile or two of a very high income area ($200,000-300,000 homes) and in an area of prime dvd shopping

3) employees are mis-informed, undertrained, not versed in the english language, disillusioned, tired, ornery, and usually pissy.

4) the CUSTOMERS are mis-informed, greedy, not versed in ANY language other than grunts howls screams and poop flinging, disillusioned, tired, ornery, and ALWAYS pissy.

5) after Black Friday the parking lot was buried in a layer of dirt, strewn plastic cups, paper plates, filth, garbage, shredded paper, discarded packing materials, litter, cigarette butts, etc from one end of the parking lot to the other. I was astounded! It looked like the BQE in NYC of 15 years ago. It was literally covering the entire parking lot.
