Well that figures because they expire in about a month. Half of the gift certificates that I got out of this deal were BAD (already redeemed - and not by me).
QUESTIONS:
1) anyone else get a bad one?
2) anyone ever have luck getting replacements from Amazon?
3) is it that easy to guess those random code numbers that Amazon uses for it's gift certificates?
To those that never received one, sign back up with visio, they may still be sending them out.

I also recieved a bad $15 promotional GC from the Microsoft/Visio offer. I called Amazon and the CSR told me that I should contact Microsoft. I told him that without a phone number to reach Microsoft regarding this particular offer it would be rather difficult for me to get a new GC issued. The Amazon CSR then replied that he would gladly issue me a new $15 promotion GC.

Wouldn't it be great if Microsoft decided to stop collaborating with Amazon, and offered Flooz instead?

If you have used one Visio GC already, another one will come up as used. You'll have to use it with another account.
But I don't suppose anyone's gone and registered more than once...

Is that true? Has anyone successfully used multiple GCs with the same account?
I thought FirstLook's (alleged) beef with Amazon was that Amazon did not allow GCs to be tracked that way.

That's only half true. I created a new amazon account, and they still didn't work. Going to wipe out my cookie and see what happens, probably nothing.

Like mijang posting, I also received a bad Microsoft/Visio Amazon $15 promotional GC.
I called Amazon and the CSR told me that I need to contact Microsoft. She would not issue me a new promo GC. I guess I should have talk to a "male" order specialist???

I tried reply to the gift certificate email and hopefully, waiting for a reply. Has any one successfully received a reply email from Microsoft?
And how many of us successfully getting Amazon to replace the bad code with another promotional GC?

Dunno if this helps anyone but I got exactly the same message. I sent this off to Amazon and was advised that there was a $15 credit on my account. This didn't show in my gift certificates balance, however when I went to order something, it showed as a $15 voucher available for use.
Bit weird, but hey it worked after I completed my order.

Well, tell us what you did exactly because when I go to checkout, it doesn't show in the balance, says it's already been redeemed, and does NOT show up when I get to the last stage (before confirming/submitting).

There's no logic or consistency to what Amazon does or says. Depends on who you happen to get on the phone or who happens to read your e-mail. I've called 3 times in the last 3 nights to Amazon about pricing problems, the MS Visio GCs that don't work, and now this ToysRUs nonsense. Get different answers every time I call and NO results. Amazon sucks even more now in my opinion. Calling ToysRUS tomorrow (I've already e-mailed) as I was lucky enough to never use 2 of the gift certificates out of the AOL/Pizzahut deal for their site, but I don't expect to even see these much less get $15 instead of $10, much less have them be stackable.
IF YOU GET AN AGREEABLE CSR, PLEASE POST FIRST/LAST NAME, DIRECT TELEPHONE EXTENTION AND/OR DIRECT E-MAIL ADDRESS. I'm not joking.
Any Amazon CSRs in here at DVDTalk? Please post if you are willing to prove me wrong.
Thank you.

Doh!
Mine says the same thing, but I havn't seen a replacement yet. I did hit reply on the e-mail and sent back a message saying mine didn't work, and pasted the same error you had before, Marcus...
I'm hoping I can get another. Was just going to order Jurrasic Park/Lost World for $1 with my other GC balance!

I *still* havn't seen a working certificate.
I guess I'm out of luck.
Oh well, I'll cross my fingers and toes that my $18 echo GC comes before Jurassic Park/Lost World are out. (it should be here soon, I think. It's been around 6 or 7 weeks I believe - I redeemed my final one on August 11th.)
