ok I know these aren't online stores but I noticed something DVD Prices Vary form store chain to store chain. For example Virgin Mega Store Sells "International" DVD's for TWICE whet Suncoast does and it's the same freaking DVD. I.E. My Father's a Hero at Suncoast is 24.99 - 29.99 yet at the the virgin Mega Store it's 49.99 - 59.99, same case, same movie. same distributer...what gives? Same with The Wiz and Suncoast. The Wiz sells the advrage DVD for 19.99 - 24.99 yet Suncoat it's 24.99 - 29.99 why the difference?

Studios often lower the prices of older DVD's. There is a thread on recent changes in the bargain forum I think. Using a foreign DVD example, Tai Seng recently reduced some of their $49 list DVD's to $29. However, if you looked for Chinese Ghost Story at Virgin, you'd probably see the $49 one they've had sitting there for 6 months. The regular Ghost Story DVD's, the Erotic Ghost Story DVD's and even Sex and Zen have been repriced, and are going for $16.99 at buy and a few US stores that sell asian DVDs. However, some stores and websites still show the old prices@$40 or more until some sucker helps them get rid of their old inventory at the outrageous price. www.image-entertainment.com is the source for reprices.
