I've got a blockbuster Gift Certificate from the Buick test drive deal. I wanted to use part of it on "Planet of the Apes". I checked online, and they have it for $21.99 new. I went to my local store, and they did not have POTA in stock, but said they would order it. When I asked the price, I was told $29.99.
Now, my local Blockbuster is horrible on pricing. Most of their used DVDs are marked only $5 off retail. Yes, $29 MSRP titles are $24 USED at my Blockbuster. The manager is either clueless or doesn't care. They probably had to stick a gun to his head to get him to participate in the $2 off sale. Not surprisingly, they have rows and rows of unsold used DVDs.
My question is whether I can get them to match the online price for the new DVD. Anyone have any experience with this?
