Buy.com shipped my copy yesterday (Sept. 11) via USPS priority. Should have it tomorrow!!

Woops, did not see this post, any idea on when we can expect them to be available. I have mine tied to a 9/19 preorder shipment and was wondering if it will ship with the rest of my stuff.

This note is in regard to your Order #891860 with DVD Empire placed on 6/27/00.
We would like to offer apologies and explanations for the Delay in the release
of "This is Spinal Tap". You may have heard that there was an error in the
soundtrack on the domestic version of the film. MGM responded to this by issuing
an industry wide recall which was to be replaced with corrected versions of the
product. This happened in some instances and some stores may have the incorrect
version on their shelves, but the corrected version was not shipped until Monday
September 11th. We are a two-day ship from the site and we expect the correct
product on Wednesday at which point it will immediately be shipped to you.
We apologize for the delay, but we felt it was better to wait and send the
correct version out the first time to avoid customer service problems. We
appreciate your patience

Looks like DVD Empire got theirs late, because (of course) Buy.com delivered the correct version on Saturday (three days *before* the release date.

And I know that the local Best Buy B&M also had the correct version, on the shelf, on Monday.

It looks like some companies seem to get priority treatment from the studios. Go figure.
