MSRP lowered for Fox Titles...what do we expect from Buy.com?

Quick question.

There have been some postings and a couple of DVD sites bringing to our attention the fact that Fox has lowered the MSRP of several upcoming Double Features. Namely The Fly/Fly II, The Fly/Return of The Fly, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea/Fantastic Voyage.

All of these titles now show an MSRP of 24.95 at DVDExpress and DVDEmpire, with the lowest prices being at the latter...14.95 each.

Now I placed a pre-order for these titles with buy.com when they had the lowest prices. Do we think we can expect them to lower the price based on the new MSRP, or will they feign ignorance and keep it at what is now a very expensive price compared to other online retailers?

Expect the latter. This is customer-hostile buy.com you're discussing. Buy from them only when they have the best price and a coupon, expecting a good price. Never expect customer service.

Buy.com will not lower the price on preorders. I have an order a $19.99 and they won't lower it. So I canceled it and ordered it from dvdempire at $14.99. But, in Buy's defense I have never had a problem and I usually recieve preorders a day early.
