Best Buy - wrong movie in case
I bought Star Trek Into Darknesssometime around thanksgiving. I cracked it open last night to watch and ... Whoa! The case contains a Blu of World War Z! Star Trek case, Star Trek DVD, but a Blu of WWZ. I've heard this mentioned now and then but this is the first time I have actually seen it.
I mention Best Buy because it was their exclusive. They swapped it out, although looking a bit skeptical, and who could blame them.
On a side note, the store was nearly empty this morning, only two days before Christmas. Yikes.

Weird, ya figure the mistake would be a DVD of a different Star Trek movie or a Blu-Ray of the same Star Trek movie.
Did you go ahead and watch WWZ anyway? - thats if you have a Blu-Ray player.

I guess I didn't explain that very well. Into Darkness should have contained a Blu/DVD/Digital Copy. The DVD and digital copy were the Trek movie... but the Blu was WWZ. No, I didn't watch it. I bought WWZ at the same time and had already seen it.

since this has happened three times, i think it is either a mistake at the packing plant or the commencement of Project Mayhem (as it does involve a brad pitt movie).

It's much more fun when the disc has the right label, but something else actually on the disc.

I ended up exchanging mine with no issues besides the cs rep being amazed that it had World War Z in the case. They opened the new one at the customer service desk and it had the correct blu-ray this time.

Actually, Best Buy is a bit more liberal with their BF deals than Walmart. At Best Buy, I can go to the main racks and pull off one of their $1.99/$3.99 blu-rays or DVDs and get it for that price. At Walmart, this only applies to items marked 'PROMO' that have a UPC code different from the regular stock. I also noticed that a number of the Walmart deals this year were old WM store exclusives, like The Hunger Games (with the necklace) and Django Unchained (with the bonus disc).
