Half.com Warning
They had a $15 off $50 special. The website showed the coupon was applied. The pre auth to my bank was correct.
HOWEVER, the amount actually billed to my card neglected the discount. It SHOULD have been $45.29, they billed $60.29. Ebay (who owns half) has confirmed there was an error, but says Half must fix it. Half has not replied to my emails through their site, & the phone # published to Visa has a tape recording that hangs up on you no matter what you push. I've had trouble with them in the past. NEVER AGAIN. If the $15 is not refunded by Friday, i will dispute the entire charge with Visa. Consider yourself warned. |

Re: Half.com Warning
Store forum might be a better spot. Although if anyone posts the $15 off $50 coupon for half.com, then we should heed these words.

Re: Half.com Warning
I've had good luck buying movies from Half.com.
Never saw the promotion you're talking about, though. |
Re: Half.com Warning
Half.com went to shit when they allowed people to sell stuff for more than half price.

Half.com used to only deal with college textbooks, didn't it? That was the purpose, to offer the textbooks at half the price. Then eBay bought it and was going to shut it down back in 2004, but for whatever reason changed their decision on it. From then on movies, music, and whatever else was implemented. Since then I've always seen things way over retail because they have such a massive selection. It's just another option to find rare items. |

Half.com has always had movies and music. I sold most of my VHS movies through their site back in 1999 when they started.
