I think is a combination of volume and transaction amounts for sellers that deal in massive sales.

Because you play fast and loose with the math.

Your shipping is paid by Amazon prime, but THEY get the shipping reimbursement. So they are making a bit that way.

But not much.

maybe there is some tax benefit or a scam like the Producers, where you lose money to make money.

I blame Obama. He is probably mailing out the DVDs personally from Camp David, on the taxpayers' penny.
