Paypal, what the hell?
Kind of a stupid situation I'm stuck in here with Paypal, I'm hoping someone here knows what I can do.
A few days ago I get an email from Paypal saying "Here is your receipt for your eCheck for $50.00 to ESTsoft Inc." I have no idea what an echeck or ESTsoft Inc. is so I head over to my account, dispute the charge and Paypal returns the money to my Paypal account. But now when I log in and try to move that money from my account back into my bank account I'm getting a "Your account access is limited" message, which means I can't do shit with the money sitting in my account. So I head to the Resoultion Center to try and follow the steps to get the limitation removed. Seems easy enough, but here I am half an hour later fighting the urge I have to smash my head through my monitor. They need me to confirm my location by calling me at my land-based home phone number. The problem, I haven't had a land-based phone number in a long time. In fact, I just got a cell phone this year but my account still has the phone number I had before listed on there. They can call that old number if they want, but I have no idea who has that phone number now. And they won't call my cell phone number, obviously, since it's not land-based. As if that doesn't screw me enough, for some reason they also have my old debit card number on there, even though I've had a different card for about a year now (updated the bank account, forgot about the card) and I can't get access to update my phone or my card number. I'm hoping someone here has had a similar experience and can tell me what I'm supposed to do here. |
Re: Paypal, what the hell?
Well I submitted a scan of my bank statement to them for my location proof, so that should work. So this thread is kind of worthless right, if any mods feel like deleting this for me.
