Amazon prime trial question

I can't seem to find an answer to this in their database

I just got the prime trial and I am not sure if I can continue it right away after it ends. I will be doing it later as it is a great service. What I'm wondering is

I preordered uncharted 2 for ps3. It ships on oct 15th. If I preorder now with free release date shipping will it still ship on oct 15th for free if I haven't been able to reup my prime membership by then?

any order that you've placed with prime before it expires should still ship that way.
