Apparently.......my girlfriend just emailed me and sure enough.......it does exist. I am at work so haven't checked it out, but she told me it says under new ownership.

Basically, the rights to the Circuit City website were sold - there is no connection to the former store (other than the name) and they won't handle returns, warranty work, or other claims for the old Circuit City.

Plus they have a really strict return policy - some brands they won't accept returns on for any reason (you have to go through the manufacturer), and when you buy you agree to not participate in any class action lawsuits plus you agree that if you do sue them you can only do it in small claims court in Dade County, Florida (Miami).

I'm not shopping there.

I think it's pretty sneaky. They are hoping to fool people with the CC brand to drum up business.

CC.com retains TigerDirect's search & layout that I don't particularly care for.
