? about renting a movie from bb video and not returning it
I have a question that some of you may be able to help me with. I have been looking for a copy of little nemo on dvd for awhile and dont want to pay crazy prices for it. I found a copy to rent a blockbuster and was wondering if I rent it and dont return it will the fee just be added to my account like they say and I can just basically pay for the movie without further penalty

They would charge the CC on file for the replacement amount, which generally is the full MSRP. If the movie is OOP, I'm not sure what they would do in that scenario.

Doesn't BBV still do the 'rent to own' type thing? Mine does. If I want to keep Guitar Hero II 80's I just keep it and pay 44.99 tomorrow.
How is using their policy a crime?
They used to apply the rental fee to the purchase price--I rented a game one time with the BBO free coupon, and saw "Own it for 0.00" (it was an old, cheap game). I turned around and said, I'd like to go ahead and own it, can I have the case off the shelf, and they gave it to me.
If it's OOP, they could do three things: the sale price would be the "retail" price (good deal for you, bad for them), it might not be eligible for keep-it, or the sale price could be some extremely high amount. Thats what I'd do, esp. if it's a "cult classic" that doesn't get rented much.

all corp bbv stores allow you to rent any game or dvd and keep it if you want.
you will be able to pay for it in about 2 weeks after renting it.
at that time it will "sell" to your account.
this is when you can pay for it either at the store or if you have a volid cc alreADY
on your account it will just charge the cc automatically.
expect the keep it price to be the current previously viewed price.
most of the disney oops are $39.99.
it should tell you on the receipt the keep it price.

How would that be a crime, lol? My Blockbuster makes OOP discs expensive--some of the Disney OOPs have a cost of over $100. It's almost always cheaper to find the movie elsewhere, but if you want to keep the disc, Blockbuster is in the business of selling them.
