Quickest shipper of pre-orders?
 

Hi -

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but:

My son is a big Doctor Who fan, and his birthday's coming up (Sat, March 3rd). The latest DW titles (THE INVASION and THE SONTARAN EXPERIMENT) hit store shelves on Tues, March 6th.

Does anyone know of an online retailer who ships pre-orders early? If there's a chance of his getting the discs on his birthday, that would be ideal.

DVDEmpire.com often ships the Friday before, so if you pay for overnight shipping you may get it on his birthday... although there's no guarantee.

I have not heard this brought up in along time. I know DDD used to send out pre-orders early but you are dealing with media mail. Once I got a shipping notice about a month before the release date and received it 3 weeks before the release date.

Just got a shipping notice for Brute Force, Criterion Collection, form Dvdplanet today 3/29. The release date is 4/17.
