Buy.com won't send me replacement DVD
I ordered about 12 dvds over a month ago from Buy.com and received all but 1. I sent them an e-mail asking if they can send me a replacement and they denied it. They sent me the following reason:
When our shipping carrier accepts a package from one of our warehouses, they scan it and weigh it. The total scanned weight of your package at the time of departure from our warehouse matched the weight of the products that you had ordered therefore we are unable to approve a claim for you at this time. Per the Buy.com shipping policy, "Title to goods passes to customer upon delivery to the common carrier." What kind of BS is this? I can understand if I shipped something to them and they never get it, but I never received this product, I should be entitled at least 1 replacement sent or money back. Am I wrong here? This just seems like a shady business practice. I am going to call them but I have a feeling I'm going to be wasting my time based on the e-mails that were sent to me. Has anyone here had a similar situation with Buy.com? What other options do I have if they deny me again via the phone? Thanks. |
Dispute the charge with your credit card company - explain that all goods were not received. I'm willing to bet Buy.com will listen to you then.

Dispute it, the customer service sucks and they won't do anything for you anyway no matter what you do.
|
why not just call them? I had something that didn't show up three weeks after it supposedly shipped and they opened a claim for me for a replacement.

They should change their name to PAY.com!!!!!

People still order from buy.com!

I hear that. I took a chance and ordered from them again during the Google deal, and again, I came to regret it. Horrible, horrible store.

I order something a few times a year from Buy.com and have never had a problem.

sounds like a pretty shady practice because weighing it does mean it has been changed from when it was shipped to when you go it, among other things.

buy.com always had customer service policies that benefited them more. |
