Well, consumers might one day wise up. I assume the fear of that is keeping them from doing as you said. Well, hopefully.

I now see that Amazon has the single disc version of Sin City discounted by 20%. Hopefully other Disney titles will soon follow suit.:fc:

Just bumping this thread. Looks like Amazon is still charging full MSRP for most Disney DVDs and CDs. Has anybody figured out what's behind this yet? It just doesn't make sense for them to have 30% or more discounts on new releases from other studios and full MSRP for Disney.

It's weird to see items like Lost S2 and Desperate Housewives S2 going for MSRP and yet still listed high on Amazon's Bestseller lists. Hopefully they sort out there little dispute and aggressively discount these titles so i can pick them up for $30 again this year! :-)

So is Disney forcing Amazon not to discount its titles? Or is this an Amazon decision? I find it really interesting that some top sellers (Pirates of the Carribbean, LOST Season 2, Grey's Anatomy, etc.) are selling well with no discount.

I actually added Lost S2 and Scrubs S4 to some orders I had just so i could cancel them. Hopefully, they'll get a lot of cancellations on these titles and notice it.

Hallelujah! Amazon is once again discounting Disney titles after four long months.:)


EDIT: Fuckin' Amazon. They had Alias Season 4 for $38.99 when I made this post. They now have it for $50.99. I guess that it's not meant to be for me to get this set at a reasonable price. If you see a Disney title that you want at a decent price, I would advise you to put in a quick order before they jack the price back up.

The wierdness continues with prices all over the place. Alias S5 is $28, Lost S2 is $44, Desperate Housewives S2 is $42 so (somewhat) normal service has been resumed.

I wonder how many sales Amazon has lost out on to competing online retailers?
