I was checking out the main page of DVD Talk and noticed there are links to Deep Discount DVD and DVD Empire. Are these places really good for shopping? Any members here usually buy DVDs from these sites? Thanks.

I've ordered from both stores without any problems. DVDEmpire has terrific service, although their prices are a bit higher. DDDVD is great, unless you run into a rare problem, and then their customer service can be a bit iffy. But I've never had a problem with any of my orders from DDDVD.

DVD Empire has better service, but DDD has better pricing. Both have served me well over the years. I'll still buy from Amazon.com every now and then, but their packing sucks. Towerrecords.com is also a good place to check for deals. They have free shipping ($20+ orders) and several season sets on sale. Best Buy, Circuit City, and Walmart's websites are usually problem free.
