I've always liked them as well. Their store is pretty big, and they usually have good prices on cd's and dvd's. They also gave me a pretty good trade in amount for some lame cd's.

My bad, just always suspicious of new members posting stuff like that for the first post or two.

I loathe them. Every order I've ever placed with them has involved one of the following: extremely scratched discs, floaters, wrong discs, or suddenly out of stock title. I think I've been issued some sort of credit on three or four occassions and every time I try to use it, something goes wrong.

SS's corporate HQ is right around the corner from my house - and I've been to their main store in Costa Mesa a few times - it's cool to browse through.

Both their selection and prices are hit and miss - that's why it's more of a browser store where you can try things out - they have a cool little listening station and everything. I would NEVER buy anything from them online.

Also, I've sold them a few things here and there, and sometimes their buy-back price is pretty good, and sometimes it's shit.

The store, and therefore each person's individual experience, is a total grab-bag.

I was pretty happy to pick up My So Called Life, the complete series with the box for $53.95. I also got The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover for $8.99. Both OOP, so they were worth taking a risk.
