What is with Amazon's Prices?

What is with Amazon's prices? The prices goes up and down all the time, it is really annoying like I saw a DVD of Stripella (Pamela Anderson), it was 21 dollars but it went up to 24 dollars and right now I am waiting for it to go down to regular price, it is annoying!

I've been noticing that the cart price is sometimes higher than the list price for some of the cameras I've been looking at.

What's "the variable price thing"? I've noticed this lately as well, a cd I've been thinking about has gone from $10.99 to $9.89 back to $10.99 and then $9.99. If I wait for the perfect day, could it be like $8.00 at random?

no, it probably won't go to $8.00, but the variable pricing is just like you said, $10.99 to $9.89 back to $10.99 etc, depending on time of day, and cookies, logged in or out, etc, things like that..

I notice that as well. I have a page worth of price change notices when I add things to my cart all the time. It's really annoying. Do they think they are going to entice me to order something if the price INCREASES???
