Blockbuster has stopped taking special orders!

I stopped by their this weekend to check on some prices on some Paramount stuff coming out and I was told they were no longer taking special orders. I guess it has to do with BBV corporate having to pay cash up front for their movies now, so they can't get anything from Ingram on credit anymore, thus eliminating all special orders. I was told that they were issuing credits and refunds for people who already had pre orders on file.

My experience with them in the past was that they never really liked to do so in the first place. The couple times I did it, they tried talking me out of ordering something..

Special orders? That's too much like decent customer service, and they don't want to imply anything they can't live up to ....

bbv is in trouble.
i can see it everyday.
from day to day there are less people coming into the store.
and more people leaving without any product.
we were also told no yearly raise till at least december.
this is from our annual review which always nets a minimal raise.

the review wont be 'till december, raise who knows.
