DDD shipping methods?

while i wait and hope for the next DDD sale, i am wondering about their various shipping methods. i have always used the free shipping option before and we all know that can take a long time and i plan to spend a considerable amount more money this time around and will splurge for an upgrade in shipping.

what pay options have you used with DDD and how were they? im thinking about the UPS 2nd day air for $6.95 but then UPS doesnt come here on weekends so maybe just the USPS priority would be best. anyone with comments?

thanks.

I *THINK* if you pay for the upgrade (like Priority Mail) ..they'll send EVERYTHING in stock via Priority Mail, and the backorders via media mail..but I'm not positive..

Yes. That's what happened to my co-worker's orders. First shipment goes by priority/UPS and the rest by media mail. I always picked free shipping anyway.

I would probably just go with priority mail if I were to upgrade to a faster shipping method. However, I'm too cheap and always go with the free shipping. Never had a problem using it and every dime saved helps.

Same here. I've considered upgrading once in awhile, but then I figure I have enough to watch, and waiting another week for more won't kill me.

Depending on how much you spend, it could just negate the sale.

I agree the free shipping helps with the most savings but the most annoying part for me is that they dont give you the option of holding the order until the entire shipment is ready, no matter what option you choose. That doesn't make much sense to me.

I don't have a problem with it since it means I won't have to wait until everything is in stock before my order ships. Also you are not paying extra for that convenience like you would at other online stores because of the free shipping. I prefer shipping when available if it doesn't cost me extra.
