hi, i just purchased a manufacturer refurbushed Sony SLV-N750 4 Head Hi-FI VCR from ubid.com for $47 shipped. i was wondering whether i should purchase a one year or 2 year extended warrenty for 6 or $10 respectively, thanks

You didn't tell us how long the current warranty is. I probaby wouldn't buy an extended warranty if you get 90 days given that it is such an inexpensive item. If it's only a 30 day warranty I'd probably get the extended warranty. Remember these warranties are offered because they make money for the company you buy them from.

I'd skip the warrenty. The web is full of horror stories about the horrible service most secondary warrenty companies offer. (Though I can't recall reading one specifically about Ubid.)
