Cancellation of a Best Buy Reward Zone GC

I received a $5.00 gift card from my Best Buy Reward Zone. A couple days later, I went to use it and the cashier said that it was cancelled. I told him that I had just got it. After running around talking to other cashiers, they cashed it in. Has anyone else had this happen to you?

A Reward Zone gift card? They usually send me a small paper coupon with $5 printed on it. Not sure what you're talking about....

I think the correct term is "reward certificate", $5 worth for every 15,000 points acrued, unless you are talking about something else.

I also receive them by email, I think it was a glitch with some of the accounts.

Maybe it was cancelled due to a returned item? The RZ people wait 30 days before crediting you with the purchases you made because of the 30 day return policy, BUT you can still return items AFTER the 30 day time period. Did you do something like that? If not it may have been a one time glitch. I've received about $600 in RZ certificates and never had a problem.

I had it happen to me with a electronic certificate, tried to use it in the store about a week after printing it and it was denied and they had credited back my account. No explaination was given when I rang them about it.
