Need help before trying to Pricematch

I have a question. This week Circuit City has the samsung hd841 on sale for $149.99. I think the price is $179 at Best Buy. So here is my question........ Do I take the flyer to Bestbuy and tell them I want to buy the samsung hd841 and then show them the CC flyer. Will they give me 110% off of the Samsung at BB? I'm trying to figure out how to the 110% difference. Thanks for any help.

I believe, if they match, YMMV, they will take off around $33.

179.99 - 149.99 = $30 difference /// 30 * 1.1 = $33 110% match

so cost is 179.99 - 33 = $146.99

at Best Buy, in order to get the 110% PM, you have to buy the item first then come back within 30 days to PM at customer service.

If you PM at the time of purchase, the cashier will only PM to the price and not give you the extra 10% off of the difference.

The above is all very true. All you have to do is buy it, then go straight to the customer service desk. That way, you will get the extra 10% of the difference back. They will not care or even question you, even though the original sale occurred like 2 minutes ago.

Ok thanks to all you for the help. I have one more question. I have a Sears located near me also. I notice they pricematch 110% as well. Can I just take the ad into sears and pricematch it there? Or will I have to do the same as Best Buy? The player is $199 at Sears. I read in the little flyer that if you find a better deal just tell the salesman at the time of purchase and Sears will match it 110%. Is that statement totally true? Thanks

Sears & Circuit City will give you the 110% PM at the time of sale. Staples will as well.

Unfortunately, this is not always true. I posted this in a past "Best Buy price matching" thread:

I was refused the 110% price match at Customer Service because I had just bought the item at the register roughly 5 minutes prior. I was told that I was basically working around their rules and what I was doing was unethical. BTW it was the GM of the store who deemed my price matching "unethical."
