Does FYE have a PM policy?
 

I should know this but I never asked when there. Does FYE have a price matching policy relative to ads from other stores?

I have one of those $50 gift cards I need to get rid of. Haven't been buying at FYE much lately and was considering getting Miami Vice Season 1 if they would match an ad like Circuit City.

I think I remember reading that a manager might/might not decide to PM. I guess the best thing to do is ask but I do not think there is any public policy to PM at FYE, like there is at CC or BB.

Thanks, that's what I was wondering. I was able to get a manager to PM once (I didn't even have an ad) but did not know if there was a policy.

Hopefully my Miami Vice will come from the buy.com deal that just flashed by.

FYE has a 110% MSRP pricematch guarantee. Take the MSRP, add 10%, and I guarantee you that's their price.

I went to FYE Sunday and I was told they don't have a pricematch policy. Damn!

FYI, I stopped at my nearby (24 miles) FYE today and asked the manager what their "price matching policy" was.

Actually I loved the answer, probably because it was one of the most honest I have ever heard.

His answer verbatim: (drum roll please)



"If there is a Best Buy in the parking lot, we have a price matching policy, otherwise we do not!""

My FYE is located a few footsteps away from a Best Buy in a mall. Management says they never price match even within their own company at Coconuts. But, I'm also sure there's plenty of oversight since their home office is only 1/2 mile away.
