another dvdempire question??? (maybe praise)
 

does dvdempire usually ship new releases to arrive on the actual release day? The reason i ask is that i place an order today that included Bourne Supremacy and about an hour later i get an e-mail saying that it had shipped already. Is this is mistake, or is this how they always work? If this is how they always do, i must say that i am impressed.

They are very fast at shipping. In stock items will usually ship the very next day, and many times the same day if the order was placed in the morning. Pre-orders are always shipped the Friday before the release date.

But when they arrive depends upon how far you live from their warehouse, and shipping method chosen. If you use priority mail it will usually arrive either Monday or Tuesday. If you use free media mail expect it later in the week.

At least you're close enough for media mail to possibly get there by release date. I should add that DVDEmpire doesn't ship on the weekends because they are closed.

My weekly preorder shipment always arrives on the Monday before street date with priority mail, which is why I don't order my discs from anywhere else. I never use media mail, but since you're in the same state and they usually ship out the same day, it shouldn't be long at all for you.

My preorders get here on the day before or the day of release. I live in South Carolina and I always opt to get three or more titles when buying my mainstream titles so I can get the free shipping.

They've always been great re fast shipping - definitely one of the bst on that score.
