Ooops, I hit "logout" a few times and ended up in someone elses account.

Fortunately, no cc info available so people can't place orders for them.

This is crazy.
I saw Lateesha too when I logged out

I guess you would see in your ORDER HISTORY if someone has ordered discs using your account, right?

I deleted my cookies and IE shows I'm not logged in.

I really think this issue may have to do with the "Remember Me" checkbox and if you recently logged in your account.

candyrocket,

Try going to this link that hellmutt posted earlier

www.deepdiscountdvd.com/login.cfm

Delete any cookies, temporary Internet files, history, etc. and then log in to your account through that link and log out directly after that. At least this is what worked for me when I couldn't log out. Hope it works!

Edit: Nevermind, see you already fixed it

I'm not even going to log in for now since that seems to bring this to the forefront. DDD opens at 9:00 CST I think, so hopefully this will be fixed in a few hours.

This is probably going to cost them my business, and I spend 4 figures with them a year.

Thanks for the heads-up!
And thanks for the "fix" Hellmutt.
Had it not been posted in this forum, I never would have seen it.

I had to clear my cookies to be able to log in, was able to delete any sensitive information... but I'm honest when I say this has made me re-think my online shopping strategy. And DDD has lost me for a long time.

Wow. The site kept logging me into many different people's accounts. All but one were "bill me later" so I changed that one immediately and emailed the guy about the problem.
Luckily, my own account hadn't been used by a thief yet, but the thought that my cc# was out in the open for awhile isn't cool. Gotta call MasterCard to make sure some scumbag thief didn't get lucky...

This is going to sound crazy but maybe we can demand some sort of discount because of this.
Like a free $10 or $5 coupon for existing customers for this hassle.

I did this and I think I'm done for now:

1. Cleared cookies
2. Logged into account unchecking "remember me"
3. Changed all info except email, name & password (don't think I need to change password since it's xxx out). Made sure anything they can use for cc verification is changed.
4. Deleted cookies, logged out (wouldn't let me unless I cleared cookies)
5. Repeat for wife's account

I'm staying clear of ddd for a while to see how this plays out.

I haven't pulled up anyone else’s account info, but did I have the log out trouble. If you can't log out, hit the log out link a couple of times then hit refresh on your browser. It seemed to work for me, at least as long as i was using Firefox as my browser.

DO NOT LOG-IN YOUR ACCOUNT!!!!!
This should really be moved up to the front of the thread. I logged in and changed my account, only to read that I shouldn't have. If this is latest information, it's doing nobody any good to read wrong information first only to find out that information can hurt them in the long run. Just a thought.

At one point it said at the top of the Page "DDD sux" and when I tried to log out of an account it said "Hello Compromised by DDD"

Yep, just got the same as well... LOL

And it looks like it may be a hacked account because the order history shows all different ship to addresses....

I just checked my account and everything seems to be just fine. I'll keep an eye on it through the day.

Ugh.

Please tell me people aren't placing orders on other people's accounts!

Aside from the moral issue of doing unto others etc., you are opening yourself up to fraud charges if they trace the IP's or addresses on the orders.

Please keep in mind that it's very likely others are looking at your account right now and have made the wise decision of leaving it alone.

I am being given the run around at DDD. They said they are aware of the problem and don't know when it will be fixed. I mentioned I am upset that someone might be able to use my information and they put me on hold again...going on 10 min now.

By posting this here and having me log-in you just made my account accessable by other people. The thread in the store-forum says:
PLEASE NOTE...

This problem seems to affect only accounts that are currently, or have recently been, logged in.

For example -- most of us are seeing each other's accounts because we are all logging in to change our information.

If you haven't logged into your DDD account in the past 24 hours -- DON'T!!!

To be on the safe side I changed my billing info to "Protected". I keep getting the same users when I try logging in: Neil, Douglas and John.

Unfortunately, this is going to cost DDD in a big way.

There is a "test" user logged in at deepdiscountcd. It has the company address filled in, so perhapds they are finally addressing this? FWIW, I have never witnessed anything like this before! I am going to cancel my orders when this dies down a bit. This might be DDD's undoing.
