Just out of curiosity, is everyone's email notification for subscribed threads working? I haven't received a DVDtalk email in 2 days and that's very odd, no notifications that someone has responded to my subscribed threads.

I struggled to find 3 DVDs to order:
Two of a Kind - $5.74
Good, Bad, and the Ugly CE - $14.31
Simpsons Season 4 - $23.91

I placed my order early Friday afternoon and got an email tonight saying the Simpsons Season 4 was on backorder, but nobody else who posted ordering it has mentioned it was out of stock. It makes me think I'm the only person who won't get mine any time soon. It has to arrive in about 25 days so I can return my unopened one to Best Buy within the 30 days. Sometimes I don't think it's worth all this trouble to save about $6.

Do I have any chance getting it in time or does DDD typically take weeks to get stuff on backorder? Is there any way of telling from the item's main page if it's in stock?

Their site returns a search failure error quite often, so I guess it's overwhelmed by other people.

Mine's on backorder too. I'd say getting it within 25 days and returning to Best Buy is somewhat risky. Usually I get things quite a bit faster than that, even backorders, but sales slow things down. Also, many items have multiple UPCs (depending on security and such) so it's possible you won't even be able to return the new one you get from DDD at Best Buy. You probably will, but it's not definite. For $6 (actually, unless you live in a no-tax state, I'm sure it's a bit more than $6) I wouldn't think it was worth the hastle. But that's just me--I'm really hastle-averse.

I am actually in the same predicament. But with a different title. I would think that you would still be able to get some kind of credit after 30 days with a receipt. It was six dollars difference as well.
