Video Equipment Warranties

Hello. I need some help with warranty recommendations for my home theater equipment. Recently my 32 inch TV and S-VHS VCR burnt out due to a surge. My home insurance won't cover it so I have to go out and buy a new VCR and have my TV repaired. Know I'm scared that this will happen again especially to my receiver and speakers. I definitely don't want to go through this again later on. So I need some help finding a warranty covering my home theater equipment.

What is a good warranty company and can I find one that will cover my new equipment or even products I bought a few years ago? I also found a company called WarrantTech and they sell a warranty for a VCR I'm interested in. Has anybody ever dealt with this company and would you recommend me buying this warranty? I really need some advice. Please message me with any info. Thank you

The first thing I would do is buy a power surge for all your electronics.

I did have a power surge protector connected to my electronics but it still happened. That's why I need info about warranties. I would appreciate any help

You will need a *good* surge protector rather than those cheap ones with like 100 joules rating.
