disturbing trend in gifting......

Every person here, I would bet does not like standing in line at customer service for ANY reason. If the general populace hates standing in that line/dealing with uncooperative store employees who are trying to get crazy with rules/restriction, what makes people think it is ok to give a gift that will likely get returned????

I mean, giving a gift is supposed to be a good experience, why not try getting it right in the first place? It isn't that difficult to find out what a friend is interested in/would like right?

Just my 2 cents, not worth much obviously :)

Why do you assume someone gave you a gift they thought you would likely return? I've never given someone a gift expecting they might return it, nor have I ever received a gift where I thought the person giving it expected me to return.

I think he's referring to people who buy something, and then say "well I don't know if they will like this, but they can always just return it."

Agreed, gift cards are the way to go.

Yep, that's why I love gift cards.
