Just got Pirates of the Caribbean from Netflix

Considering it was only supposed to be released today, that's pretty fast service I feel.

Plus it's coming in exchange for a disk I just mailed yesterday, late afternoon.

If this is actually newsworthy, then I should post that I got POTC from Netflix yesterday also. It's almost like we were twins seperated at birth.

You guys are missing the point.

I mail a disk back to them late on a monday afternoon, and get a replacement for that disk early the next day!?!

It's less then 24 hrs! There was no in between time.

Forget about the fact that PotC was supposed to be only just released on that tue.

My main point is...since when has the USPS been that quick with anything?!?

And no, I don't live on the same street as a Netflix distribution center. It's in the same state as me, but not that close.

You lucky bastard.

I'm having a very hard time believing the USPS would deliver anything that fast. Maybe Superman was in the area and decided to drop it off on his way by?

Not that it matters now because it's already on the "Long Wait" status one stinking day after it's released ...just like "Finding Nemo", "Bruce Almighty, etc.

This happens for me with just about every DVD I get from them.

You may be experiencing this NOW because the USPS has stepped up their service in anticipation of their heaviest mail season - Christmas. Since it is sort of early in the season, you may be getting faster than normal service since mail is still light.

I think this thread should be praisingr USPS and not really Netflix.
