Is it possible to get a Best buy store to price match a different Best Buy?
 

I was looking to buy a DVD at my nearest Best Buy store but they were out of stock so I decided to go to a different Best Buy. The good news is that the 2nd store had the DVD I wanted but it was priced higher.

I was wondering if :

1) Are all Best Buy supposed to have the same prices ?
2) Is it possible for me to price match one Best Buy to the other?
3) What would the easiest way to get this price match done if its possible?

They will price match only if the store they are calling is within their shopping area [usually a 5 pr 10 mile radius] and the store has it in stock.

So it seems they won't do it for you b/c the first store doesn't have it.

And to answer your questions:
1) yes
2) yes/no See above
3) have employee in music/movies call the store.

FWIW, I would think Best Buy prices would vary depending on local market.
We have two EB's that are maybe 8 miles apart from each other, both in malls, and one EB's video games are right at 5.00 more across the board. It's in a 'richer' neighbourhood and has a different clientele, so they can get away with charging more. There's another one about 3 miles from that one, in a strip mall, whose prices are different yet again.
How's the price at BestBuy.com? You could order it there, and pick it up at the store, if the webprice was any cheaper.

Most stores will not price match with themselves since they are not competitors with eachother.
