Scams pulled by YourFreeDVDs.com
Introduction:
Hi, I think we need one thread where everyone can just list the the ways that YourFreeDVDs.com has scammed us. With one centralized place to list this, we can all form a group and collectively sue YFD for what they owe us. Once someone from Santa Clara, CA joins the group, he/she can represent us in the Small Claims Court in their town.
PS: If you plan on joining the small claims suit, you probably need to be able to substantiate your claim with the confirmation emails from the deals you signed up for.

To make an actual montary tally, I am proposing each point be considered to be worth $0.09. That makes a 200 point DVD worth $18, which seems pretty reasonable; not too cheap, not too expensive.
Here is what YFD has scammed me out of:
Try Shopping4Money Free! 100 Points
ClearCredit 80 Points
SkillJam 64 DVD points
PrizeGames.Com 70 DVD points
Thats a total of 314 poins. Plus, I ordered two 200-point DVDs which they never shipped. So, thats a total of 714 points which were never properly processed, for a total of approximately:
$64

What you're proposing wouldn't fly in a Small Claims court -- it would likely be a class action, which would require legal representation. And some money.

Small Claims Court is for cases involving damages of $5000 or less. I only plan on getting a group together that is asking for about $1000 in total.
So why wouldn't it work? Can't you have one person representing the group in the small claims court?

Ok, just curious, have you read the FAQ thread on the free sites, you know, the tiny one thats almost 100 pages long? Cause there is a lot of info on there on how to deal with YFD.

yeah, I read that. I contacted the BBB, they couldn't help me, because they said YFD wouldn't reply to them. And, I contacted Consumer Affairs in California. Also no help
