BOO to Best Buy dot com

Oct. 13th I placed an order for an Xbox game they had for 9.99 (panzer dragoon orta) and received an email saying it was on backorder... I checked it today to see the status and it said my order was cancelled.

I'm not happy.

I don't really understand the last post. This is the store forum- where you're supposed to bitch about problems.

I noticed my order for the game was cancelled too. BB.com seems to cancel orders without having enough respect for their customers to notify them.

Yeah really... what's up with that kind of attitude MasterCXtreme? You do know what forum this is?
Anyway, I agree with Eric F, it would be nice for them to have notified me, and it would have been even nicer for them to have honored the price.

it seems their new policy is to not notify you when they cancel an order.

It recently happened to me and I was not too happy about it.

Mastercxtreme real nice post

Thank you. I knew Seinfeld fans would laugh. I just happened to be watching it and it sounded like a pretty funny idea.

Interesting. I just checked my order and it too was cancelled. I wouldnt even have known if it wasnt for this thread, I thought it was still backordered. Great customer service best buy...You would think they could send out an automated email or something.

From Bestbuy.com
Customers receive an e-mail letting them know their order is on backorder. They can cancel it at that time or choose to wait for the item. Backorders remain active for 30 days. If they are not filled within 30 days, they automatically cancel. Customers can extend the backorder by contacting Customer Care. We will e-mail you 5 days before the backorder cancels to ask if you would like to extend the backorder. Extension periods vary by product.

Sucks. They do however fill in backorders. They did it when I ordered the 20 dollar Ikaruga a few months ago.

No email for my order. I just looked at the website and it was cancelled- it was only a few weeks since they offered the deal too.

BB sucks.

The Seinfeld post was both sarcastic and funny. Sometimes, perhaps often, you can't have one without the other. I see both sides of this issue, but as Seinfeld is supposed to be funny and the humor wasn't too cutting and the issue really isn't life or death, I urge all to just relax.
