Amazon Orders Losing STL Discount?

I placed a few preorders last month with my Share the Love links. This week I looked at my orders and none of them had the STL discounts applied. Has anyone had this happen to their orders? Is there a time limit between when the order is placed and when it is shipped?

The STL discount disappeared on my Indiana Jones order. I didn't realize until I received the shipping confirmation. I called the amazon 800 number and the CSR did credit my visa card for the discount amount. However, he stated he saw no record of my ever having used the STL discount.

I checked my other preorders and they do show the STL as a line item. So hopefully they will not have this issue. Perhaps it was caused by the recent gift certificate problems Amazon has been having???? My orders did use gift certificates so I don't know if there was a correlation.

Thanks. "STL" is not exactly easy to search for.

Oh, and thanks for the tip in the other thread about changing the shipping options. It worked like a charm!

Glad you got that problem straightened out with the missing STL discounts. However next time I would suggest checking your order summary page at Amazon immediately afterward to verify every discount is applied to the order. And even check it periodically before it ships to make sure nothing changes. I think Amazon has proven itself too many times from my experience to be a business you can't trust completely.

It is not Amazon. It is the software that runs their website that sux.

When my STL disappeared for the LOTR:TTT EE set, I called Amazon. The CSR actually reduced the price of the set to reflect the STL discount, instead of just putting the STL coupon amount back in, making the price drop below $25 (the free shipping threshold). This did not cause any problem for a month, but suddenly two days ago my free shipping option disappeared because my order is no longer eligible for free shipping as the price was reduced below $25.

I think they should be accountable for their software.
