What does Best Buy pay Part Timers?
I know there are some Best Buy employees around. I am thinking of applying to work Part time. My guess is about $8.50?

Just curious why you think it would be so much higher than minimum wage.

The amount Best Buy pays you varies upon which Best Buy you work at. I hear a lot of people in the west work for minimum wage there, but when they started opening up here in the NY/NJ/CT area they paid more than that. I worked there a few years ago when I was 19 and I think I started out at around 9 an hour if I remember correctly.

It probably depends on location. I have a friend that is a manager of one of the departments and only makes $9.50/hour. I think the pay in the North is higher, perhaps due to cost of living.

I am guessing its around $8.50 because you have to sell warranties, reward zone, zero financing.....and somebody just mentioned they worked at Best Buy and said they thought $9.00

You guys must have nice Best Buy stores because the one here didnt pay squat. I think the store here pays slightly higher than minimum wage.

My cousin works at BestBuy on a part-time basis. It, also, depends on what you do. He builds/repairs computers. He makes $11.XX, per hour. Sorry, I don't remember the exact figure; I just know it's eleven dollars and change.

A friend of mine worked at a Best Buy in Des Moines two years ago, they started him at $7.50 or $8.

Depends on location of store, your experience in that particular position and the cost of living in that state.
