Digitaleyes.net = Bait & Switch!!!!!

I ordered Sisters Criterion from back in July for the low price of $15.95. They had it on sale but it was out of stock but I could still order it. So I did. Well, Sisters Criterion came back in stock and I never got a copy. I sent an e-mail that was ignored. Fast forward to now it's back in stock so I send an e-mail. Of course now the price is back up to $21 something. So, I get a quick reply saying they'll jump right on the order. Well now I see that they cancelled my old order at $15.95 and automatically re-ordered me a copy at the new price of $21 something. I sent an e-mail demanding a cancellation. This is possibly the worst thing that has ever happened to me through an e-tailer. Stay far away from them!

Is it possible this was a mistake? Maybe you should contact them and see if they'll adjust the price?

You ordered the item when it was mispriced. When I received information from CS to reorder the item for you I did. The order was replaced at the higher price. After the order came through the system, I overrided the price back to the $15.95 price you were initially quoted. If you check the second confirmation you received, you will see that it was set back to the $15.95. Since you have requested the order be canceled, my override will be undone.

I am sorry if this was confusing, but I ENCOURAGE you to revisit the second confirmation you were sent. You will see that we did not bait and switch on you.

Thanks,

Mark

It always amazes me that a person has one allegedly bad experience with an etailer and they are ready to to tell everyone DON'T ORDER FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS.

Mark, I know DigitalEyes is a class operation and if you guys make a mistake (and doesn't everybody?) you will do what is needed to correct it.

Thanks for the response and support. I think the important thing is that we did not make a mistake since we fixed the price immediately after the order was re-placed at the site.

I'll chime in to say that the difficulty I had ordering from DE during their transition was short-lived, and since then I've been quite happy with the service.

My 2nd order confirmation states the price I will be billed at is $24 something. Unless you sent another e-mail I have yet to receive. Here's the e-mail:

Order Information:

Catalog #: CC1559DVD - Shipping Status - In Stock (Ships in 24 hours)
Title: Sisters
Qty: 1
Price: $21.98

Total: $21.98

Shipping: $2.90 (US Priority Mail/First Class)
Sales Tax: $0.00

Total Order: $24.88

Again, thanks for shopping at Digital Eyes.

I just want my order cancelled.

That actually is your first confirmation e-mail. The second one shows you were charged the $15.95. I have canceled the order per your request.

Thanks,

Mark
