Question about lost dvds from blockbuster

Lets use a hypothetical situation...

The Blockbuster near me has a VERY rare oop dvd for rent. Say I rent it and "lose" it...will I only have to repay them the msrp (which I would do gladly) or will there be extra fees and charges involved because it is oop?

Thanks, Tom

When I worked for Blockbuster the policy was that the customer would have to pay for a replacement copy of the film if it was lost, at the then current price that Blockbuster had to pay to obtain the title again. I don't know what would happen if the copy was out of print - most likely they'd hit you with the late fees and then pass it on to corporate and you'd have to deal with them and then pay whatever price they determined was the fair market value of the film.
