Deep Discount Order ships DVD Box/No DVD

I've ordered several DVDs from DDD over the past year. The prices are very good. The order usually takes forever to arrive,
but I really don't mind as long as I get it.

I received several DVDs from my order and put them in my collection. A few day later I got around to opening one of these DVDs. I removed the wrap, and the stickers on the top/bottom/middle. Open the DVD and guess what?

NO DVD!

I called customer service, and after waiting for near 20 minutes and explaining what happened. The customer service rep asked me to mail back the DVD. Problem I don't have the original reciept
with return sticker since I sent that to the MGM Dads Day buy 2 get one free offer.

Bottom Line, make sure there are DVDs in your DVD case, even if it looks properly sealed.

That happened to me, too. The last disc in my Stingray 5-disc box set didn't have a disc in it, either. I had to send the whole set back. It took awhile, of course.

Does this only happen to them?

I purchased the Homicide DVD set from them and the last disc was missing.

Strange, that.

Really? Knowing DDD, I wouldn't have thought they'd have a problem sending you the missing DVD in an envelope. Cost to them: virtually nothing.

No disc isn't really DDD's fault. They don't seal the cases in plastic, they get them that way from the distributor. It could just as easily have been any seller.

I received a mailer yesterday and mailed the empty DVD case back today. So, maybe in a few weeks I'll get a new one with a DVD this time hopefully!

DFWMovieGeek - good luck. I am waiting on 5-6 weeks and growing for my replacement. According to CS, their warehouse is "having problems" and it takes "a VERY long time" to process returns.

Here is the latest on this saga.

I received a replacement DVD with the actual DVD. i was content at this point. Next thing a few days later I see I am charged again on my credit card.

And a few days later I receive the same DVD. So, I now have 2 copies of this movie and was charged twice for the movie. I have since sent back the second one and am waiting on the refund.
