Can anyone recommend some good stores in NYC to buy Import from?

The best place is probably Kim's on St.Mark's Place in the East Village. They carry a lot of non-Region 1, and PAL DVDs.
There are a few places along 32nd Street (between 5th and 6h Ave) that have Korean imports.
Just north of Canal Street, on the east side of Bowery you'll find several stores that carry Asian imports, including hundreds of HK code-free titles. (most of these places do not charge tax if you pay cash rather than by credit card.)

by import, are you guys referring to asian movies, or american movies that are imported so you can buy them for cheap?

i heard that over seas you can get dvds before they are released here..and full dvds with menus & dvd quality for like $2..so wondering if this is what you guys are talking about
