DeepdiscountDVD, Shipping, Combining Orders?
 

I placed to 2 orders for single titles on 5/28 and today a single package arrives with both titles in it. On the packing sheet it says:

In an effort to keep prices low, we have combined items from multiple orders into this single shipment for efficency and conveience without a delay in shipment.

I have never had this happen before and I have ordered from them many, many of times before. Is this a new policy? On the one hand its okay if the shipment arrives in the usual time but then again I would be really pissed if this was one of those shipment that takes 3 to 4 weeks to arrive. Or if they change thier shipping policy further. I guess as long as they still ship all titles when they are available its okay....

I had this happen a couple of weeks ago and I think this is a new policy.

On another order where I had 2 DVDs, they split it up since they didn't get one in stock on release day.

I don't know exactly when they started combining shipments but I have had about 5 of them over the past several months. If it helps keep shipping free and prices low I am all for it.

I had the same thing happen on 3 DVDs from 2 orders that were backordered about a month ago.

I've noticed this as well, but it doesn't appear that DDD is delaying orders of in stock DVDs to combine with OOS or pre-orders, so it's no problem.
