Not much you can do. Count it as a "life lesson" and move on.

I agree there probably is not much you can do about it. But I was curious about what the seller meant about her Amazon limit being up? Also does she still have the DVD listed at Amazon? Hopefully you didn't lose too much money.

Amazon Payments, which is their mandatory online payment service, has certain monthly limits. I've reached the limit twice. Once when I was a new seller and had gone near $1,000 in a month. And once again during a Christmas Holiday season when I had gone near $1,500. I'm not sure whether it was set-off by reaching a certain $ amount or the unusually high number of sales for my account. They sent me an e-mail notifying me that I was reaching my limit and that if I wanted to extend the limit I would have to contact customer service. I contacted them, they extended my limit, and it was no big deal.

How much did you lose?

You could try a couple of things:

If you have a PO Box address:

1) If you have a friend who is in the legal profession, have him/her
write a letter to the individual detailing how fraud may have
been commited etc.

Granted, she may call your bluff, BUT she may be compelled to
do otherwise.

2) You could use www.switchboard.com and look up the number for
her local Police dept. If she happens to live in a small town, this may be more beneficial.

I knew someone who did #2 after she had a bunch of checks bounce a month after the merchandise was sent.
It actually got the buyer to pay.

3) If it's under $20, maybe you want to write it off and move on.
