What is DDD?

In several threads I read something along these lines "DDD has this DVD on sale at such and such a price". Can someone please tell me what DDD is, I would like to check out their site.

Thanks.

It's www.deepdiscountdvd.com . You've had to seen the banner ads or link on the homepage, right? Anyway, they have some really good prices on most of their dvds and I have ordered many times from them and they're great!

Thanks a lot for kmcrowl, and scott.

With the Canadian dollar making something of a comeback, this might very well be a viable option.

Cheers

also, don't forget to put the word "slow" between free & shipping.

But for free, what do you expect.

I think their shipping times have impoved tremendously over the last few months. I usually place orders on Thursday, and receive them the following Tuesday. Can't complain much about that.

Free shipping doesn't apply to international orders.

From DDD (after the international shipping rate list):

Canadian Exception: We ship orders to Canada via Parcel Post for our standard charge of $4.95. Estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 business days. U.S. funds only.

and no tax, unless you live in Illinois.

Plus, they have all those really great coupon codes. ;)

DDD is my vendor of choice, but with the following caveat:

They don't necessarily have the best price for pre-orders (titles not released yet). For some mass-market titles, they will lower their price to match another vendor, but only close to street date.

Of course, you will be charged the amount you agreed to pay when you placed the original order. However, if you contact their customer service department, they will give you a price adjustment (a credit to your account to reflect the lowered price).

However, don't expect DDD to do this automatically! You have to ask for it with each title you need an adjustment.

Although I place the bulk of my DVD orders with DDD, I don't order mainstream titles for this reason.

It's just not worth the hassle of contacting them for an adjustment, when I can go to the store on street date and pick it up for a great price to begin with!
