columbia house canada

I'd like to get people's thoughts on joining this. Ive never used them before but think it may be a good way to get a lot of older titles which i never picked up.

Do they inflate the prices of their other titles to make up for the loss they get on the 5 for 49c offer ?

Thanks

I've joined around 6 times now. It's a great way to build your collection cheaply.

Here is the best deal available.

Use the code A64

Its the standard deal but instead of having to buy 4 to complete membership, its only 3.

So then if you buy the bonus 1 for $19.95 you only have to buy 2 to complete the fulfillment instead of 3.

You can also get a 7th dvd for $14.95 which doesn't count against your fulfillments. So it actually increases the $ per dvd average. So I'd advise against it.

So 5 @ .49 = $ 2.45
1 @ 19.95 = $19.95
Shipping = $11.94
--------------
Before Tax = $34.34
GST = $ 2.40
---------------

Total for Enrollment Package = $36.74

2 Fulfillments = $39.98
Shipping = $ 6.98
---------------
Before Tax = $46.96
GST = $ 3.29
----------------
Total for Commitments (Cheapest) = $50.25
-----------------
Grand Total = $86.99

$ 86.99 For 8 DVD's

There are some good movies @ $19.95 that you can purchase to fulfill your membership.

Also their boxsets are priced quite reasonably compared to everybody else. Of course there is shipping on these.
