DVD Empire has switched from FedEx to UPS!
 

So long DVD Empire :( You've just lost another customer.

UPS are the worst courier company on the planet!

You could save a few dollars and have it sent USPS.

I think you mean DVDEmpire dropped Fed-Ex from their shipping options. DVDEmpire was using UPS if the buyer wanted it. Why not just switch to USPS delivery? I always have my orders shipped by free media mail and never had a single problem. If you want it faster they offer priority mail at an extra cost. But I also wonder why they would quit using Fed-Ex?

I think you might be confusing their USPS option with UPS.
Their contract with Fedex expired and they decided to go with
United Parcel Service instead. They have always had USPS
(U.S. Postal Service) Airmail.

I've tried Airmail before and have had either:
- the parcel go missing
- discs come loose and get scratched to hell

At least if you send a parcel by courier you have a shorter transit
time, and you can track a package. This is especially important
for International customers.

I wonder if they went with UPS to save money? All of their
packaging was in Fedex boxes.

For anyone who's curious, have a look at all the previous
threads in this forum about UPS customer service. It's $hit!

Probably important to point out that you're using them for international shipping.

We get a ton of packages every day from Airborne, UPS, FedEx and the USPS and all I can say is that each of them have surprised me both positively and negatively. But ultimately it dosn't matter because DVDEmpire is the one who you can turn to with order problems and they deal with the shipper if something is fouled up.

So don't be so quick to dump and run.

We have detected that you have chosen to a restricted country. Unfortunately due to customs problems, we cannot ship to the
following countries at this time:

Turkey
Bahrain
Uganda
Chad
Kenya
South Africa
Mexico
United Arab Emirates
Kuwait
Qatar


Reason: Due to problems with customs confiscating merchandise
we are no longer Shipping to these countries.

I'm still getting my stuff from DVDEMPIRE and am happy as always!
