Army of Darkness Boomstick Edition:anywhere?
 

I cannot seem to find this listed in any of the B&M stores for Tuesday. Will I have to go through an online retailer or pay a higher price for this at a larger chain?

It's coming out next week. Bestbuy.com is offering a $10 digital coupon if you pre-order it.

Which is the best of these editions to own? I have the AOD Directors Cut "Offical Bootleg Edition"....

Boomstick edition, is just repackaged versions of the theatrical and Dir Cut. Literally same discks in a fancy package. I perfer the theatrical version to the DC. But if you perfer the DC than the r3 MGM version is the dvd that you want. It has an extra scene and has better transfer than the Bootleg edtion.

Make sure you you get the "Boomstick Edition", a lot of dvdtalk members have been mistakenly buying the "Broomstick Edition" which is not nearly as good.

BROOMSTICK = 1D4 - 1 points of damage

BOOMSTICK = 2D10 (+5 within 10 feet) points of damage

Jeez, how many versions of this thing are there anyway? If I wanted to spend the money I could probably devote a whole shelf just for my Evil Dead collection!

I was very happy to see it at bestbuy last week. they had what looked like a whole shelf dedicated to it...about 75 copies I guess.

I just ordered the Boomstick edition. Does the digital coupon just show up in the email? There was a pop-up box that didn't have anything in it-hopefully that's not where it was.

I'm in the same boat - ordered mine in Feb. and it still hasn't shipped... They're usually pretty good about getting it to me on the release day, I guess a lot of people have it ordered ahead of me.

My Best Buy had a bunch the other day. THe case looked really ugly though.

Got my shipping confirmation the other day. Wierd thing was I went DVD shopping today, at several places including suncoast and didn't see it on any shelves.

The 10$ and 17.99 price was a great deal for this set.
